We had our first Offer-Holder's event for the 2021/22 academic year, where we introduced our society and provided useful tips. We're super excited to for them to join us!

Our 2nd Offer-holder event was a more chit-chatty social!

Our first time using an online interactive platform that is not Zoom or Teams. We played the games available on gathertown. It was a new and exciting experience!

For Day 1, we had an informative session to help incoming students prepare for university life in London.

Our 2nd day was held on Gathertown with treasure hunts and bonding exercises to simulate an in-person fun event.

2020/21 Events

We started our first day of the Pre-Departure Event on 15th August, where we introduced our society to the 2020/21 Freshers. We're super excited to welcome them and thank you for joining us!

The 2nd day (16th August) of the Pre-Departure event involved some our current KCLMSoc seniors, and we played several games during the event! We're amazed at the turnout and thank you for being patient with us (despite some hiccups in our session).

On September 5th, we hosted our first physical event at Ali, Muthu's and Ah Hock! We're amazed at the turnout and it's great to see some new faces! Thank you all for coming!

First KCLMSoc Check-in and Chill! We hosted several Among Us games on our new Discord server, asking our freshers to familiarise with one another and meet some seniors!

An amazing turnout of 80 members and several rounds of family teamwork games made it such a memorable night! Thank you all for joining and we hope that you got to know your family a little better!

Our 2 amazing fitness instructors of the day - Poh Yi and Charlotte - had a blast teaching a quick workout that definitely made us sweat and our muscles burn! Great job to everyone who attended!

With another socialising event, we hope you guys met some new faces! We've played some skribbl.io, Jack Box TV and Taboo! We've had an amazing time meeting all of you guys and thank you for joining!

We've had a blast cooking pancakes and bubble tea for our MaifreshUK x KCLMSoc Collaboration! Thank you to those who've joined from London and we hope you've enjoyed your delicious creations!

A huge thank you to our hardworking sub-committee teams, who helped host and create promotional material for this event! We had so much fun with new games, and the 2 days of this event were filled with plenty of competitive spirit!

A season of giving! Thank you all for joining and we hope you love your gifts!! We got to know you guys better and we hope you did too!

To celebrate CNY (for some who are away from home), we made some dumplings! We hope you had as much fun as we did! A huge thank you to Maifresh for this amazing collaboration!

Thank you for joining our last Family Event in the Family Face-Off Series!! With playful jabs and lighting-fast reflexes to *raise hands*, we played our own version of 'Family Feud' with some wacky survey responses!

We collaborated with KCL Viet Soc, KCL ABACUS, KCL Filipino Soc and KCL Indonesian Soc to make this icebreaker social happen! Using icebreaker.io, participants were prompted to talk about various topics and meet various people!

We had a chill session with three KCLMSoc alumni sharing their career insights. Thank you for joining us!

We have chosen our new committee on the 10th April and we're so excited for what's to come!

2019/20 Events

To welcome the freshers this year, we hosted our Pre-Departure Camp at Port Dickson again because we just had so much fun last year! Thank you to a great turnout!

More than 100 Malaysians who study at King's College London turned up for the London Orientation! A chance for us to meet everybody and make more new friends!

At the Nottingham games this year, KCLMSoc sent out teams in Volleyball, Football and Badminton. Our enthusiastic cheers from our supporters for our competing players definitely boosted their morale! Well done to all our players!

To introduce our grandparents, parents and their fellow children, The Amazing Race helped form strong bonds through teamwork! It definitely made our adrenaline rush with its £100 prize! Congratulations to the winners!

One of our flagship events, our annual MNight was a huge success this year - we were close to being overbooked! Well done to all casts and crew as well as our lovely team of producers! Our hard work certainly paid off!

We joined the KCL Singaporean Society for an outing to Novello Theatre for the Mamma Mia Play! Great fun, with some iconic song sing-a-longs at the end!

Most of us are unable to join our families back in Malaysia for CNY, so we brought it to the UK! We had an amazing night at Imperial Treasure restaurant, with lots of laughter, food and Lou Sang brought back from Malaysia!

Our first ONLINE AGM was held on ZOOM on 19th April 2020, where we welcomed our new committee members of 2020/2021 and said goodbye to our past committee.
2018/19 Events

To welcome all new Malaysian freshers to King's, KCLMSoc organised a pre-departure camp to Port Dickson at the end of August giving the incoming first years to meet their seniors before setting off to London.

Our first event since the new term has started. The London Orientation is the ideal place for this year's freshers and returning students to meet. This year KCLMSoc walked from Strand campus to Hyde Park where we had a picnic and games, followed by dinner at Strada.

KCLMSoc celebrated Deepavali this year with dinner at Khan's Restaurant.

This year KCLMSoc had teams in Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball, Football, Netball, individual participants in Scrabble, Batu Seremban and Carrom, and many supporters at this year's Nottingham Games which took place on December 18. Congratulations to Wei Shern and Siti Aishah bringing home gold in Carrom singles and Batu Seremban respectively, as well as Janice Cheong for taking silver in Scrabble.

KCLMSoc hosted their first clubbing event in collaboration with KCL Abacus, KCL Singaporean Society and PlayKrown. The event was held at Opal Bar in Embankment.

KCLMSoc hosted its third Underground Sounds, one of the society's flagship events. This year it was held at Waterfront Bar & Kitchen on the Strand.

KCLMSoc celebrated Christmas at Guy's Campus with a cozy potluck. After the food, our members exchanged gifts to embrace the festive spirit.

KCLMSoc's annual original production was held on the 16th of February 2018, where members performed the Musical piece: Intertwined, with an original script and music all penned by the members.

KCL MSoc hosted its 4th Annual General Election on the 26th of March 2019. A yearly review commenced and the society said goodbye to the past committee and welcomed the new committee of 2019/2020.
2017/18 Events

Members who participated in the Malaysian Night production came together for a dinner and karaoke session at Nusa Dua to celebrate a successful production.

Collaborating with Imperial College Union Malaysian Society, KCL MSoc hosted its third Engagement Session with Sunway Group to give students information regarding career opportunities in Sunway Group. Students had the opportunity to network with the Sunway Senior Management Team: Dr Elizabeth Foo and Ms. Foo Shiang Wyne.

In conjunction with LSE SU Malaysian Club, KCL MSoc hosted its first Engagement Session with Astro, giving students the opportunity to learn more about Astro internship and graduate programs, as well as meet representatives from Astro.

KCL MSoc hosted its 4th Annual General Election on the 26th of March 2018. A yearly review commenced and the society said goodbye to the past committee and welcomed the new committee of 2017/2018.
2016/17 Events

On the 14th of July 2016, KCLMSoc hosted an information session with presentations from fellow committee members of KCLMSoc regarding their personal experiences in King's College London. It was hosted in collaboration with Sunway Education Group, and we had the opportunity to invite Dr Elizabeth Lee for an introductory speech.

On the 27th of August, KCLMSoc hosted a two-day event to welcome freshers' into King's College London and to allow fellow KCLMSoc members and freshers to get to know each other. There were various team building activities, such as the amazing race and the murder mystery, to enable freshers to bond among themselves.

This event was held on the 1st of October, a week after the 2016/17 term commenced. The event directors of KCL MSoc created a series of indoor games for attendees to interact and get to know each other. Following this event, the committees and members headed off to dinner, which was held at Melur, London.

Together with the members of LSE, UCL, QMUL, Imperial College London, City University and SOAS's Malaysian Societies, KCLMsoc went for an awesome day out at Ashridge Estate. It was a truly wonderful opportunity to get to know fellow Malaysians from other universities.

For the second year running, KCLMSoc hosted its annual flagship event on 2nd of December - Underground Sounds! With amazing open mic performances, followed by an open dance floor session, we hope that everyone had a blast. Many thanks to all performers and attendees who came!

During 10th December 2016, KCLMSoc members participated in Nottingham Games, hosted annually by the Nottingham Malaysian Society. The categories in which our members participated in were Scrabble, Basketball, Frisbee, Netball and Badminton. Congratulations to our Participant in the Scrabble category, Janice Cheong, who won the game!

A one-of-a-kind event, the KCLMSoc sub-committees hosted a mini sushi-making session to celebrate the start of Term 2. Hosted on the 30th of January, it was a small but enjoyable event, as everyone took home their respective hand-made Sushis and bonded with each other.

On 1st February 2017, KCLMSoc hosted its annual Chinese New Year Celebration for fellow members. The event was sold out and a delicious eight-course meal was served. Hope everyone had a good time!

During early February, our fellow representatives for KCLMSoc participated in Bath Games 2017 for Basketball. Keep the spirit up boys!

On the 16th of February, hosted by the KCL MSoc sub-committees, KCLMSoc members' knowledge were put to the test as they are asked questions of General Knowledge. The winners of the event were Janice Cheong, Erina Nadzira, Chang Zhui Ning and Lee Zi Sheng, who brought home a bottle of champagne!

KCL MSoc's sub-committee members held a relaxed lunch and "lepak" session for members, in the midst of their hectic schedule. While enjoying one of Malaysian's best local dish - Nasi Lemak, everyone had a good time chatting away about their lives.

KCLMSoc's annual original production was held on the 17th of March 2017, where fellow members of the society performed another Musical piece: Diaspora. It was a memorable event, where cast and crew members enjoyed themselves during the Musical, followed by an afterparty at Tropicana Beach Club.

In conjunction with Imperial College Union Malaysian Society and International Council of Malaysian Scholars and Associates (ICMS), KCL MSoc hosted its second Engagement Session with Sunway Group to enable interested students within the UK to find out about career-related opportunities with Sunway Group, and their upcoming projects. It was an engaging and informative session for the attendees.

KCL MSoc hosted its 3rd Annual General Election on the 24th of March 2017. Congratulations for those who won their respective positions, and thank you for those who came and participated in electing our 2017/18 committee!

For the last social of the academic year, KCLMSoc held a graduation dinner for the graduating class of 2017. It was held at Bella Italia on the Strand where both junior and senior students gathered for food and laughter.
2015/16 Events

From the 22nd to 23rd August 2015, we had our very first (and very very fresh) freshers' orientation camp! A big thank you to all who made this a success- especially to our venue sponsors Sunway Education Group, and Jeffrey Cheah Foundation, for their generous and kind support, our volunteers, and of course all you freshers for being part of the fun!

On 26th September, KCLMSoc held its 2015 London Orientation event at Hyde Park during which participants bonded over fun activities, games and dinner! The event had around 60 participants from different campuses, faculties and backgrounds, and included freshers, returning students, as well as graduates. Here's to long-lasting friendships!

On 7th November 2015, 32 sports representatives and supporters from the King's College London Malaysian Society (KCLMSoc) travelled to Nottingham to compete in Nottingham Games Malaysia 2015. All the representatives put in a lot of effort, time and sacrifice! KCLMSoc definitely established its presence at the games this year, and most importantly, displayed the best team spirit out there!

On 21st November 2015, KCLMSoc enjoyed a chilled morning at Regent's Park with Captain ball and delicious Malaysian food, including Mee Goreng, Nasi Lemak, Karipap and Teh Tarik!

On the night of 27th of November, we went to the Natural History Museum, we enjoyed looking at various historical artefacts and learnt much about History, while having a pint. It was a memorable night filled with mingling, learning and also a little bit of drinking.

On 1st December 2015, KCLMSoc proudly presented Underground Sounds, a chilled and relaxed unplugged acoustic night, featuring some of the best musical talents among the Malaysian student community in London! A massive thank you to our fantastic performers and everyone who came for the event!

On the 30th of January 2016, we organised a little treasure hunt to get the post-exam(midterms) mood going. Indeed we all had a wonderful time as everyone had a goody pack filled with Malaysian treats such as Mamee Monster, Fruit plus, Mi Mi and Tam Tam to bring home at the end of the day. The winning team won a free ticket to our CNY Celebration dinner, each.

On 31st January 2016, the King's College London Malaysian Society - KCLMSoc co-hosted InFocus: Education Reform 2016 with the United Kingdom & Eire Council of Malaysian Students (UKEC) and KPUM: United Kingdom & Eire Malaysian Law Students' Union. The event, held at the King's College London Anatomy Lecture Theatre, Strand Campus, provided participants, who came from all over the UK, the chance to engage with the topic of Malaysia's Education Reform and contribute to the ministry's future plans

On the 12th of February 2016, the members of KCLMSoc went to King's Cross Theater to watch the Tony-winning Best Musical, IN THE HEIGHTS! It was definitely a memorable night.

On the 13th of February, these warriors represented King's College London and KCLMSoc at SPLASH (also known as the Spring Leisure And Sports Huddle, organised by the Bath Area Malaysian and Singaporean Association (BAMSA)) in the basketball event! This marks our first time ever participating in SPLASH, and we're proud to say that our basketball team did very well! Go King's! grin emoticon #teamKings

On the 18th of February 2016, we had our first Chinese New Year dinner. Despite the frigid London winter, 40 of our members turned up to enjoy a luxurious ten-course meal in Chinatown. This is just the beginning of more feast to come!

On the 24th of March, we made history and so have you! Thank you to all of you who were in the audience for KCL MSoc's first ever Malaysian Night- Flavours: The Musical. You all packed the Greenwood Theatre close to maximum capacity and filled it with your laughter, applause, sighs, gasps and well-timed "awww"s (we might have seen a few of you sobbing silently as well!). We're really grateful for your support and we hope to see you back for next year's MNight.

On 31st of March 2016, KCL Malaysian Society had its second Annual General Meeting (AGM), which consisted of a welcome speech given by the 2015/16 President, followed by the 2015/16 financial and events reports, constitutional amendments and the 2016/17 committee election.

On 7th of April 2016, the KCL MSoc hosted an engagement session with its platinum sponsor - Sunway Group, regarding their corporate profile, exciting career opportunities and future aims. Many thanks to the speakers, Ms Debbie Wang, Tasha Ho Pei Xin and Dr Cheng Ken Seong for the informative session!

The KCL MSoc Graduation Dinner was held on the 16th of April to appreciate graduating seniors of Year 2016. Hosted at GIG's fish & chips, it was an enjoyable event as Malaysian students chatted away while having their meals.
