Our society hosts over 20 events annually, with a combination of both social and academic events committed to building a "home away from home" – for all Malaysians.

Our flagship events are designed for the enjoyment of our members whilst also maximising the reach of our network. Each event is planned and executed by our elected committee ahead of time.

MNight

'MNight'- short for "Malaysian Night" is the annual performance by Malaysian students in London universities to put on a play for students from other universities to attend. MNight Productions are completely funded, designed, directed and acted in by members of the KCL Malaysian Society.

The next KCL Mnight will be held in the Greenwood Theatre in February 2026!

Holidays and Celebrations

Our society is committed to celebrating the cultures and differences between Malaysians together.

We celebrate all major ethnic and religious holidays including but not limited to: Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Christmas and Halloween. We also frequently collaborate with other Malaysian societies in London as well as other KCL societies such as: ABACUS, Singsoc and SEASoc.

Details of our events are all available on our Instagram page and will be updated on a rolling basis. Malaysians and non-Malaysians alike are welcome to join. Can't wait to see you there!

Hey everyone!! 👋 I’m Ben, your President for the upcoming year. I’m a second year Mathematics with Finance student, so you’ll mainly find me on Strand (100% attendance in year 2 incoming). I enjoy going to the gym and watching/playing football — COYS 🏆, and I’m also always down to explore London.

I also occasionally play games but mainly stick to FIFA because I’m quite washed at every other game 💀 (HMU if you want to play OW2 though 😝). Besides that, I’m also learning to play the guitar so if anyone has any tips…

Be sure to have an iron or Lenor spray at the least, as based on my picture you can tell I did not have either. Also, making Google Sheets is NOT one of my hobbies (@ publicity 😐😐).

My classes will all be on strand and I live 5 mins away so if you're ever lost or looking for food recs around campus feel free to pop me a text or come over for some milo!

I love exploring london's different parks and gardens (victoria embankment 🔛🔝), shopping in covent garden, chugging free hot chocolate at whittard and walking everywhere, especially across waterloo bridge. I hate rain, the blush blindness allegations, wearing my puffer jacket and reading books after I buy them.

I love yappenating (as evidenced by this way-too-long caption) so pls come up and say hi if u see me! I’ve been told I have an RBF but I promise it’s just my face… 😁I would love some advice on optimising my gym routine (not from ben) and easy recipes for someone learning to cook. I’d be most especially pleased and grateful if someone could teach me tamil. In return, I’ll tell you the most money-saving meal deal combinations and all the gossip I know.

hi everyone i’m aidan and i’ll be your sports + welfare officer for the upcoming year 😁😁😝😝

i’m a second year international development student, so you’ll mostly see me around strand (aiming for at least 75% attendance this year 💯💯🔥🔥). outside of school, im really passionate about sport and have been a lifelong liverpool supporter (6 ucl’s > 1 uel ben). football aside i also watch a lot of nba and nfl as well so if you ever wanna have a ball knowledge debate i am always open and willing 😁😁

i’m also a very avid gamer, and will fry literally anyone at fifa. alongside that i spend an unreasonable amount of time binging shows (one piece has taken me 7 months to catch up to date). i also love exploring london and its parks, you should definitely check out primrose hill as youre exploring and getting comfortable in london!

i’m looking forward to hopefully having a lot of fun sports events throughout the year, looking forward to meeting all of you soon!!
