My life is a constant struggle between wanting to eat spicy Malaysian food and having to preserve my voice to sing. I also often encounter bus diversions in London, somehow… University has really changed me over the past 3 years. I mean just look at my relationship with coffee. Hated it in my first year. Was able to force myself to drink it in my second year. Now that I am in my final year, I actively seek lattes and cappuccinos! Well, I guess that’s a good thing as I enjoy catching up with my friends over coffee every now and then.

MELISSA ONG

London is an amazing city to live in, you'll definitely find something of interest. I can usually be seen running along the banks of river Thames or taking long walks in the park. Other than that, I enjoy cooking my fast and easy student meals that occasionally turn out well. Being a part of KCLMSoc has given me a sense of home in a foreign land and a community which I call my family.

SECRETARY

I like watching musicals so much that, for me, they've pretty much replaced movies and music that I used to listen to. Also, I miss Malaysian food a lot but rarely have it in London because the price kills me, so I tried cooking it myself... And not to brag or anything, but let's just say my kitchen is still standing.

TREASURER
Nicholas Wong
NICHOLAS WONG

Nicholas alternates between 9-5 classes during the weekdays and 12-5 night outs during weekends. London is his oyster, and every hour is happy hour. A man of many faces, he once played three different roles in the first ever King's College London Malaysian Night. He is a firm believer in the Japanese philosophy of "Kaizen" and developing people, and often acts as mentors to his juniors. He can be reached on Linkedin

EVENTS DIRECTOR
Sara Wong
SARA WONG

I used to have purple then burgundy hair, and I once survived 3 overnight buses in a row during my Spain holiday. That sums up my willingness to try new and exciting things so joining the pioneer MSoc committee definitely fits into the role, and has been a rewarding and enriching journey since then.

EVENTS DIRECTOR
Jia Yi Lian
JIA YI LIAN

CORPORATE RELATIONS DIRECTOR
Mao Fong Lim
MAO FONG LIM

Mao is a second year medical student, everyday artist and occasional performer. He seems to be in a perpetual state of exploring the quirkiest of what London has to offer, always ready with a pun. Joining the pioneering committee was just another way to distract himself from the more pressing demands of medicine (kidding- he loves it!).
